Our oldest son, 17, 'gets it'.
We were talking after dinner last night, and he understands the fact that the lifestyle he wants to live can't be had, easily, by working a J-O-B.
Recently, he borrowed my copy of Robert Kiyosaki's Business of the 21st Century to help him incorporate some ideas into his web design business, and while talking with him, I concluded that he does indeed understand the concept of what leverage can do to catapult his earnings plus what passive income means to his net worth.
DS17 enjoys the finer things in life, and I believe he has his game plan in place. One more year of high school, followed by college at a world-renown university with two businesses to keep him grounded, then the whole world will be his oyster; no doubt he'll be off exploring every chance he gets.
