Be The Change

I started the week focusing on one thing, in terms of my diet, to be a better, happier, healthier, more energetic me.  I ended up changing two

The first change, focusing on eating 2.5 cups of veggies every day.  This has been an easy change thanks to soups I have been making from the book, You On a Diet by Dr.'s Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz.   They are low in fat, have lots of veggies and veggie stock, taste great, and make a lovely and filling lunch.  I pair the soup with a slice of whole grain bread or crackers to round out the meal.

The second change has been a by-product of the first.  I'm more conscious of the number of carbohydrates I'm eating as a result of aiming for five servings of veggies each day.  Based on past experience, I know that 6-9 servings of carbs is all my body needs.   After reading the results from the latest study on low-fat vs. low-carb diet, I'm going with the low-carb.

What change have you made this week to help you the best you can be?

As my friend Nikki says:  Live, love, laugh, share, and pay it forward.
