Right Time, Right Place

There are times when I think about what it would be like to live in other time periods.  For instance, when I'm feeling really girlie, the thought of living in the Victorian Period seems like fun.  Then I remember I'm hot-blooded, and I'd melt underneath all those layers.  When I have to dress for work that takes me outside of my home-office, I wonder about life if more of my adult years were spent in the 1960's.  The lackadaisical, simplistic life-style and freedoms exhibited seem rather refreshing next to today's hurried, over-scheduled, ever taxing demands of our time and attention.

One of the children will then come in offering a hug or DH will laugh at something Colin Cowherd said on the radio, and I realize that it is meant for me to be here, now, at this moment in time.  I have the freedom to work from home, doing something I've become quite passionate about, being here when our children need me.  The best part is DH also gets to work from home a couple of days a week.  This means our children have both parents caring for them four days a week.  How great is that?

This is the right time and the right place for both me and my family.  How 'bout you?  What time period(s) do you think would be neat to visit?  What would you embrace or perhaps try to change or influence?  Me, I'd be right there with the ladies, in the 1960's, burning my bras and celebrating freedom!

Til next time,
